current details of my practice

Let the practice of engaging with your creativity be a way to breathe and let go of limitations.

Morgan Harper Nichols

My current journal-planning includes:

  • Right Brain Planner® booklets (made from the templates of Ko-fi downloads) 📥
  • a variety of oracle decks; I pull cards for the main lunar 🌗🌕🌓🌑 phases + whenever needed for inspiration
  • sky meditations are a regular practice for me; it is a reminder to be “as the sky is to the weather” (Caroline McHugh) within the roller coaster ride of life
  • cycling with/like the 🌗🌕🌓🌑 moon (and 🌷☀️🍂❄️ the seasons) and being 🌲🌌🌿 outdoors
  • this journal 📙to use as an art journal (new addition/space for mixed media pages)
  • two of these dated planners (one for personal plans; one for business notes)
    • a favorite size; third year of using this particular planner 💗
  • Leuchtturm1917 5-Year “Some Lines A Day” (daily for all of 2024)
  • weekly Currently notes & handwritten pages + notes in my Chapters journal
  • self-directed art and topical studies; my current book stack 📚
  • a variety of “processing journals” for coursework, project planning and personal wellness (visual notes, bubble-maps, color-vents, free-writing) 💙 used as needed

Are you currently feeling stuck in your creative practice?

  • I compiled a free 📥 download with ideas and prompts and art cards for [getting unstuck].
  • Because everything is simply a phase as we cycle through our feelings 🤷🏻‍♀️🙆🏻‍♀️🙅🏻‍♀️ and experiences; we cycle through “light and darkness” just like the 🌔🌕🌖 moon.

  • You may join the Ko-fi community anytime via a one-time donation or monthly.
  • Registration for the private community will open in September.
    • Our focus is a New 🌑 Moon check-in + utilizing Right Brain Planner® resources.
    • Members are able to join community sessions and occasional one-to-one sessions to share about their practice as well as ask questions and discuss ideas for right brain planning.
    • The 2024 theme is 💢”Kaleidoscope Perspectives” [beauty awaits].
      • Our group chose to discuss chapters from The Artist’s Rule by Christine Valters Paintner during a monthly Saturday meeting.
      • We also meet the second Saturday each month + the last Friday for discussion and set aside time for a monthly review and journal-planner prep.
    • The 2025 theme will be “Chapters” 📖 [your story-unfolding].
      • “Life is the story you tell yourself. But how you tell that story—are you a hero, victim, lover, warrior, caretaker, believer—matters a great deal. How you adapt that story—how you revise, rethink, and rewrite your personal narrative as things change, lurch, or go wrong in your life—matters even more.” -Bruce Feiler
      • If you are interested in being notified about registration for 2025 membership, please contact me via Instagram. 💛

Self-compassion and creative expression are the foundation for right brain planning.

  • Self-compassion has three main elements: mindfulness, common humanity and kindness.

  • Live more of what matters most to me.
  • Have a dated and sequential chronicle of my living (time and energies).
  • Process what I am feeling utilizing the lunar cycle + monthly themes from the Right Brain Planner® resources as a both a guide and scaffolding.

📌 Right Brain Planner® FAQ

This is possible, in part, by {you} and your presence here. But also because of the support of my Ko-fi patrons and the other member/subscriber communities I host (via their presence, input and paid subscriptions).
