I’ve long since stopped feeling guilty about taking being time; it’s something we all need for our spiritual health, and often we don’t take enough of it.

This morning I looked through images by artists I follow on Flickr. I came across this artist and visited her blog; and I will definitely be revisiting this post about sketchbooks and paper.
- “It wasn’t my inability to draw that was holding me back. It was my belief in my inability to draw. I decided to change that belief” (Tina Koyama).
- Her blog is about what happens when a belief changes.”
I have been incorporating more time for [stillness] within my dailies to ponder my beliefs and to daydream.
The personal events of yesterday were a reminder of the importance of [stillness] and holding space for what I don’t know with love and compassion.
After arriving home for the day, [being] outdoors (a walkabout, sky meditation and rocking in my rocking chair as I faced the setting sun) was my priority.
- It was where I put my energy and focus (instead of overthinking what could have happened; worrying about what could happen in the future; being frustrated because the original work of the day didn’t happen).
- Emergency situations cause us to take notice of the goodness of Life.
- Emergency situations also cue expressions of love and appreciation.
- Emergency situations also offer a deeper sense of meaning and purpose.
Having social support and connections with others is critical for feeling motivated and believing in yourself and your power to achieve.

Yesterday, a kaleidoscope perspective meant I was especially grateful for my partner and the support of friends.
My guide word for 2024 is [latitude] and it has served me well. It has helped me to live with my grace, and to let go of unfounded hope and habits steeped in faulty beliefs.
“Life is the story you tell yourself. But how you tell that story—are you a hero, victim, lover, warrior, caretaker, believer—matters a great deal. How you adapt that story—how you revise, rethink, and rewrite your personal narrative as things change, lurch, or go wrong in your life—matters even more.” -Bruce Feiler
Prompts:
- Is your daily focus more on [doing] or [being]?
- How often do you daydream or abide in stillness?
- What are ways you process and express what you need?
Thank you kindly for your presence here.
I appreciate your interest and support.
~love & good wishes~
