The June guide word from the Right Brain Planner 2024 Kit is [attune] — to bring into accord, harmony; to adjust; make aware or responsive.
My creative practice will include:
- finish reading Living the Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron (as I continue my practice of writing for guidance)
- sharing 🖥️⚙️📥 prompts and content focused on mark-making and journaling for guidance with my Ko-fi patrons 🩷
- utilizing the June 🌑 New Moon prompts I provided to the Kaleidoscope Perspectives community I host
- creating doodle mandalas and exploring watercolor techniques
- using watercolor for my mandalas was inspired by United Artists Collective
The Life Quad prompt for June is [relationships] and invites a consideration of the details of how we honor our connections and sense of well-being with the people in our lives.
“When we have someone attuned to us, it gives us a feeling of being heard, seen and, most significantly, understood. It is a very validating experience when we can mirror back to our partner, friend or even our parent’s emotional experience—whether it is a positive or negative experience- and let them know that we are here with them.” -Source: inhervision.com
A priority is more than a concept; it’s a powerful filtering tool. It provides one clear direction that allows for both clarity and purpose. This in turn can reduce stress and increase productivity.
Ryder Carroll
- Priority is one of my current filters, especially with regard to the time and energy I give to my relationships.
[The] brevity of life [as] the defining problem of human existence. We’ve been granted the mental capacity to make almost infinitely ambitious plans, but practically no time at all to put them into action.
Oliver Burkeman
- This quote is what drew me to the book, Four Thousand Weeks by Oliver Burkeman.
- Life is so very brief — and it is better for us to live Life for its meaning, not to attempt maximize the hours of every day, the days of every week, etc. with “measurable” results and productivity.
- I compiled my other notes from this book here.
Braveheart, we cannot “make time” — we can merely order and distribute our hours in a way that enables us to live what matters most to us.
I am the sole author of the dictionary that defines me.

Our right brain planners (jotted notes, collage and doodles of our pondering and mental wanderings) are the data + map of our living, serving as a chronicle for our:
- daydreams and nighttime dreams
- blank pages (or no pages)
- jotted notes, bit of collage
- collections of random images
- keywords and phrases
- self-directed studies
Our right brain planners can become a sacred space for processing what we need and desire — space where we observe and process the data of our living to make choices (and prioritize) what matters most to us.
We have to dare to be ourselves, however frightening or strange that self may prove to be.
