This summer has been about listening and trusting my longings in the midst of some intense challenges.
- Challenges that have led to choices that have been waiting in the wings for at least a year (… but also, an entire lifetime).
- Challenges that led to reclaiming what I thought was lost forever; peace and clarity, meaningful (and healing) conversations and letting go of what cannot be lived now.
August is typically a month of beginnings and endings; life-altering situations and (healing) conclusions. 🎊 August also ushers in September: my personal “new year.” 🎊
The August guide word is [story] — making room for beauty and meaningful new chapters. And the Life Quad focus is [home as sanctuary].
- ☮️ These prompts have been powerful and comforting for me. 🟠 And orange as a color prompt has led to some fun ideas and art (and 📙 a new orange journal)! 😊
The crone has gone through many crossroads; she has reached a place of conscious surrender where her ego demands are no longer relevant. She is a surrendered instrument, and therefore detached.

☀️ This has been a summer moving between two 🌎🌐🌍 worlds, of making space for listening, of less (and less) — of release and crossing over. Of love and reminding myself How to Master a Life Transition as I move from one world (Before) to another (Next).
- A surrendered instrument. Detached. Unencumbered.
- Pondering these syllables feels like standing thigh-high in waving wheat under a cloudless, chambray-blue Oklahoma sky … wholly at-ease in a wide open space.
People associate [discipline] with having to do what they’re told. But discipline is quite a lovely word. It comes from the same root as disciple, and it means seeing yourself through the eyes of the teacher who loves you. We have that teacher within ourselves …
