Pen-to-paper (mark-making, color-coded expression, hand-written entries, daily tracking notes, doodles) is space to gain clarity and to reflect on our thoughts and feelings as well as what we need and desire.
A daily practice of right brain planning (mindfulness + compassion) is a way to sort and prioritize our desires in the external world — and a powerful way to pause and hold space with whatever we are experiencing internally.
What matters most?
Having a daily time for [pen-to-paper] is also a way to filter out the noise of “shoulds” and distractions, you can dive deeper into the “Why” behind your thoughts and actions.
- Keeping a daily journal (using a monthly calendar, weekly planner, line-journal or via free-writing) helps to connect us to our living; it helps to create order when busyness, ongoing challenges or unexpected circumstances cue a sense of disorientation.
Right brain planning is a way to externalize (put on paper to discern + process) what we are experiencing internally.
These tangible, introspective rituals allow us to prioritize our external living and foster a greater sense of calm and clarity internally.

❤️ Braveheart, as the Creator/Artist of Right Brain Planner® I am ever-grateful to have the opportunity to share my creative work online + support other creators! 🎉 For almost 20 years I have had the privilege of sharing my art and writing about right brain planning while also hosting kindred 👭🏽💞👭 communities. ✨ I consider it an absolute delight to continue this portion of my creative work (even as I retire from full-time work).
This is possible, in part, by {you} and your presence here. But also because of the support of my Ko-fi patrons and the other member/subscriber communities I host (via their presence, input and paid subscriptions).
